Fair Wind Sailing School Travel Services
Fair Wind Sailing School has heard your requests! As a way of making your trip easier and more enjoyable, Fair Wind Sailing School now offers travel services to all our students.
1. Travel Insurance – Take the worry out of your trip with trip insurance. Through our partner Travel Guard, Fair Wind Sailing School is pleased to offer full travel protection. Travel Guard's new policy allows you to cancel for any reason and receive a refund. We strongly recommend everyone purchase travel insurance. The insurance also covers lost baggage, emergency illnesses and many other potential travel issues.
2. Lodging – We are pleased to offer two excellent options lodging options.
A. Extra Night Aboard – We offer an extra night aboard our yachts on the Friday before your trip begins and/or the Friday it ends. Our boats are either docked or moored in the harbor the Friday's before trips starts, and you are welcome to join us aboard. In St Thomas, this puts you in the center of Red Hook within easily walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping. Price for this option is just $105 per single per night or $175 per couple (group discounts available). The extra night aboard option is available at all Fair Wind Sailing School locations with a minimum of one week's advance notice. B. Hotel Option – Fair Wind Sailing School periodically is able to offer a discounts at local hotels in St Thomas and other locations. As these deals vary, please call for details. In addition, we are always is happy to recommend hotels near our facilities. In St Thomas, for example, we recommend Secret Harbor hotel. Other good options near our St Thomas sailing base our the Wyndym Sugar Bay and the Point Pleasant Resort.
3. Airline Travel – While we are not travel agents and can not book flights for you, we frequently travel between our sailing bases and we’re happy to share our “lessons learned” on fares, schedules, tools, and bookings with you.
4. St Thomas Activities – We are also happy to help you arrange activities before or after your class such as: Diving, fishing, camping or tours. Please call us to discuss your needs.
